Scope of findings

Disclaimer & Limits of Our Findings

Our reports are used to make decisions, so it matters that you know exactly what they are. A field report records what a trained person observed at a location at a point in time. It is evidence, not an expert opinion.

Observations, at a point in time

Findings describe the state of a premises, asset, installation or branding element during the visit, against the checklist you supplied. Conditions change: stock moves, screens fail, outlets shut, people relocate. A report should not be read as a statement about any other date.

What we do not certify

A normal field visit does not produce, and must not be relied on as, any of the following.

  • Structural, civil, electrical, mechanical, fire or safety certification
  • Property valuation, title verification or any opinion on ownership or encumbrance
  • Legal advice, legal opinion or an assessment of enforceability
  • Creditworthiness, solvency or any recommendation to lend, collect or write off
  • Audit opinion in the statutory sense, or assurance under any auditing standard
  • Medical, environmental, laboratory or forensic assessment

Where qualified people are required

If an assignment needs a licensed or qualified professional, we say so and arrange it as a separately agreed and separately quoted scope. Any such opinion is given by, and attributed to, that qualified person.

Information you provide

Addresses, contact details, asset registers, checklists and authorisations come from you. We check them for internal consistency and flag what looks wrong, but we cannot confirm the accuracy of a record we did not create. A visit to an incorrect address is still a visit.

Third parties and access

Outlet staff, security personnel, neighbours and building management may decline access, decline to answer, or give information we cannot independently confirm. Where a statement in a report came from a third party, it is recorded as such.

Website content

Service descriptions, coverage lists, checklists, sample report formats, guides and pricing structures on this site are published for general information and may change. They are not an offer, and nothing on this site forms a contract. Only a written quote or work order sets out what has been agreed.

Using our reports

Reports are prepared for the client who commissioned them and for the purpose stated in the brief. Please do not publish them, present them as an independent certification, or pass them to a third party as a basis for a decision, without agreeing that use with us first.
