Visit protocol
Five phases on the day, from address review to a supervisor-reviewed submission across our coverage areas. The 5-point checklist is fixed before dispatch so each visit records the same fields.
Before the visit
Address review & routing
Your sampling plan, screener and questionnaire version are confirmed, and the 5-point retail distribution checks field checklist is briefed to the interviewers who will work it. Sampling points are plotted area-wise before anyone travels.
On arrival
Arrival, ID & permission
The interviewer shows ID, explains what the study is for, applies your screener and records the respondent's consent before the first question is asked. Participation stays voluntary and the respondent is never nudged towards an answer.
On site
Checklist & evidence capture
All 5 checklist points are worked in order — "Outlet located and classified" and "Stock quantity estimate" among them — and each result is recorded against its item on the spot rather than from memory afterwards. Responses are entered exactly as given, with nothing recorded outside the approved questionnaire.
Close-out
Acknowledgement & close-out
The interview is closed, its duration logged and the respondent's contact kept for back-check only where consent allows. Refusals, terminations and quota misses are logged as they happened, so the numeric and weighted distribution reflects the field and not an estimate.
Same day
Supervisor review & submission
Before anything reaches you, a supervisor checks the day's submissions for checklist completeness, screener and quota compliance and correct coding, and random back-checks are run on a sample. Cleared work goes into your numeric and weighted distribution in your approved format; anything that fails review goes back to the field.

Evidence & quality
What is captured on the ground during retail distribution checks, and the checks it passes before it reaches you — 5 checklist points and 4 report outputs per assignment.
Fields are limited to what your brief authorises — nothing extra is collected or stored.
Any row can be traced back to the original field record, so a query on one interview is answerable without a fresh visit.
Commissioning triggers
Retail Research work like retail distribution checks is usually asked for at a specific moment, not on a calendar. These are the briefs we see most often.
Brand & category teams
Outlets are visited and classified, and the listed SKUs are recorded as found on the shelf. A typical brief here is a 5-point retail distribution checks round across Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai and Panvel.
Pricing teams
The same outlet panel is revisited each round, so the change is measurable and not just the level.
Trade marketing
Facings, shelf length and eye-level placement are counted against competitors, with shelf photographs attached.
Shopper insights
Shopper movement, dwell and pick-up are observed in store with permission, without recording personal data.
Scope
Stated plainly so the brief and the field report agree. Anything outside this is quoted and authorised before dispatch.
Anything beyond this scope can be added to the brief before dispatch — it is then scoped and quoted, rather than assumed in the field.
Pricing
Field payment + travel + coordination + report review + overhead. Waiting time, revisits, urgent assignments and travel outside regular coverage are priced separately.
